TYPHOON WEAR - T8: There were two runners with a problem. Many big running brands make great gear for colder, drier conditions. But often what is excellent in comfortable cold and dry conditions no longer works in heat, humidity or prolonged rain... Bloody abrasions on sensitive places are never pleasant...
In particular, but not only in such conditions, it is important to have running equipment that is ultra-light, highly functional, quick-drying and breathable.

That was the goal of the two ultrarunners behind the T8 brand.

Mark Green and John Ellis like to run long. Both have raced in many major events including the UTMB, UTMF and even the 298km Hong Kong 4 Trails Ultra Challenge. The long hours spent in extreme conditions gave them time to test different ideas for improving the comfort of ultra runners in practice, during extremely demanding events.

Most running equipment works reliably during the first 10-15 km. But only after a whole night spent on the ultra route, after a 15-hour bath in our own sweat or soaked after a long rain, we will find out if what we are wearing is suitable for the ultra. Each T8 product has been extensively and intensively tested by the founders of the brand themselves and also by their crew of volunteers, who offered to try T8 news on ultra runs in various extreme conditions. Thanks to their own experience and feedback from the test crew, they can guarantee the quality of their products.

Commandos
Mark and John found a big hole in the market. What they personally lacked was extra light, anti-chafing underwear. They knew exactly what they wanted, but product development was not easy. They tried a large number of different materials, sewing types, construction techniques, and their various combinations. all in the search for the perfect running underwear. Test, modification, long run, test and repeat everything... It took 18 months to get to a product that they were not hesitant to bring to the market. Commando underwear (from the English "going commando"...) was the first T8 product and received almost unequivocal five-star feedback from customers.

Sherpa shorts
At T8, they like simplicity. Why have shorts and a running backpack when shorts are enough... Sherpa shorts are ultra-light running shorts with an integrated kidney belt containing pockets for a phone, a liter of water, gels, a jacket, and other equipment. On the road, trail, mountains, training or racing, forget your backpack and run.

Why does T8 have separate underwear and shorts?
Mark and John were not thrilled with the integrated underwear shorts on the market. Seams that often protrude towards the body, lack of inner thigh protection... This is not a big problem in a 10km run, but these are all small details that can cause major discomfort in an ultra. That's why they decided not to compromise, and to create special quality underwear and special quality shorts for long and ultra-long distances.
