UVEX

The Uvex brand was founded in 1926 in Fürth, Bavaria, by Phillip Wintr, and its original area of interest was the production of safety glasses at work. In 1959, they used the acquired knowledge and technology to produce their first ski goggles.

As one of the first companies to introduce technology without which we can no longer imagine skiing. Starting with the development of the UVEX supravision super anti-fog layer in the 1970s, which prevented the glasses from fogging, through the UVEX double lens technology to another innovation from the 1990s, known as the UVEX lasergold eyepiece technology, which allows better contour recognition. History, experience, innovation and consistent protection of human health have made the brand one of the most respected companies on the market in the field of ski goggles and helmets.

Most of the production takes place in Germany and Europe. The brand has always been proud of its tradition and the label Made in Germany. The name of the company Uvex: is derived from the words uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded.
