Silva

Silva

Silva is a Swedish specialist in orienteering equipment.

In 1933, Björn, Alvar and Arvid Kjellström together with Gunnar Tillander invented the first liquid-filled compass, which was the starting point of their business. Not only was it the first compass with this technology, it also set a global standard for how navigation devices work. That's when Silva was born as a brand. In 1935, they brought a new invention, the Zeiler headlamp.

Today they focus on three main product areas - sports, adventure and professional use.
