Company
Original BUFF® SA designs and manufactures over 90% of its products in Igualada (near Barcelona), the place where it all began. Offices and production premises are located in one building with an area of 8,000 m2. Thanks to this, the entire process from the beginning of production to distribution can be monitored and thereby ensure the maximum possible quality.
The flagship among the products is the multifunctional scarf in the shape of a tunnel - Original BUFF®, an original and practical accessory to clothing that will protect you in adverse conditions of severe frost, wind, burning sun... Today it is exported to more than 60 countries.
BUFF is not just an ordinary functional thing, it is a way of expressing yourself, that's why all BUFF scarves are made for both - for intensive sports, mountain hikes, adventure trips, but also for everyday wear to school and work.
Because we are unconventional and want to push things even further, we make everyday items into something more, something original.
History
The name Joan Rojas probably doesn't mean anything to you, but believe me, this Catalan businessman is a born maverick for whom no obstacle is too big. Joan Rojas followed the path of those who want to do things differently.
As an avid motorcyclist, he loved the feeling of freedom he experienced while riding a motorcycle. He wore a military neckerchief on his motorcycle as protection against the cold and wind, but like most older military items, it wasn't worth much.
One day he finally decided to make his own neckerchief. Day after day he sketched and experimented with the equipment of the family's textile factory in Igualada until he was satisfied with the result. The result was a seamless tunnel woven from microfiber.
In the beginning, only he, family members and friends wore it. When people saw Joan's scarf, they started asking about it and that led him to create his first collection and three years later he was already selling it in Germany, France and Switzerland under the BUFF ® brand.
The success of BUFF was not due to chance, but Joan's persistent and non-conformist nature, which became an integral part of BUFF.
