The ORTOVOX Powder Rider 16 backpack is an ideal choice for shorter ski mountaineering tours or powder descents. Thanks to the low weight (660 g) , well-thought-out technical elements and the back system, it will not burden you. The backpack is made of extremely light, durable and highly resistant Polyester 600D PFC-free polyester fabric with a polyurethane coating for increased water resistance. The material used is also equipped with a DWR surface treatment for increased resistance to water and wind.
The backpack offers a back system made of light 3D foam, which is very comfortable. One of the main advantages of the Full-Contact-Light system is that it can evenly distribute the load between the waist strap and the slightly padded shoulder straps . A wide waist belt with a practical pocket and a chest strap (equipped with an emergency whistle) will also help secure your back. Thanks to its sporty and minimalistic design, the backpack will literally blend in with you and will not hinder even the boldest lines.
The space inside the main chamber is used to hold avalanche equipment , such as shovels and probes, there is also a pocket for a bottle or reservoir, in addition, with the possibility to extend the tube to the right shoulder strap. The front zippered pocket is used to store a map or compass, while the inner pocket with an emergency card and a key loop is used to store small items - documents, cash and valuables. In addition, there is a pocket on the hip belt for a mobile phone, camera or GPS, the helmet net is stored in the front with a practical zipper, and there is also the possibility of attaching skis or poles diagonally (up to 150 mm wide).
The backpack was adapted for people with an average back length of 42-50 cm - for a figure of approximately 170 to 195 cm . The length is calculated from the 7th cervical vertebra to the upper part of the pelvis. The backpack is not only modified in the length of the back, but also changes in the shape of the shoulder straps and adjustment of the waist belt.
