The Women's Mountain Equipment Lightline Eco Parka Down Coat uses fabric from the Drilite® Loft range - in this case, a 50D version made from 100% recycled polyester. The lining, which is made of strong and durable polyamide, was created using the same procedure.
The aforementioned insulation found in the Mountain Equipment Lightline jacket is natural, recycled down that has a stretch of at least 700 cuin. The word cuin means a unit of down elasticity, the name comes from the English (cubic inch) and means how much volume one ounce of down filling takes up. The higher the cuin value, the better the expansion of the fluff and thus the greater the amount of trapped air. This in turn is related to better insulating properties and better compression of the model after wrapping.
The model was tailored to achieve the optimal size of the down insulation chambers. This ensures that the padding does not move to one place, resulting in less protection where there is less of it. The Mountain Equipment Lightline Eco Parka women's down coat has an insulated, removable Mountain Insulated hood that protects the head from the cold. Additional protection is also provided by an insulated strip under the main zipper, through which cold air could pass without it.
The extended down jacket has two side zip pockets and an inner pocket which is also secured with a zip.
