The optiFOAM² midsole provides a high level of cushioning and at the same time a noticeable energy return. The high layer of foam reliably absorbs impacts when running on hard surfaces, but thanks to the dynamic response, the shoe maintains a nimble and lively performance. The 8 mm drop supports a natural running style and comfort during regular training. Curved geometry The reverse arch, inspired by Salomon's skiing heritage, helps to smoothly transition from landing to take-off. The result is a smooth, fluid step and a feeling of lightness even when running on longer routes.
The open 3D Mesh upper is seamless, highly breathable and has an Inside-Out construction that wraps your foot like a second skin. The sensiFIT™ technology stabilizes the foot without unnecessary pressure, and the molded OrthoLite® sockliner adds an extra level of comfort. The Road contaGRIP® outsole provides sure-footed traction on asphalt, bike paths and paved roads, making the GVRL an ideal choice for running in urban environments and beyond.
Compared to the Aero Glide 3, the fourth generation brings a lighter and more breathable upper and finely tuned cushioning for an even smoother and more comfortable run. It retains the high cushioning and dynamic character, but feels lighter and more versatile. Ideal for runners who don't want to stay on the road.
