Description

The SILVA Free Runner 1100 headlamp is an excellent choice for running in difficult terrain. This set includes a lightweight headband with an integrated 95 cm cable , a flat lightweight battery with a power of 11.1 Wh, and the headlamp is newly equipped with four light output modes: 80, 400. 900 and Speed mode with a power of 1100 lumens. Before starting Speed mode, the headlamp flashes for warning.

For longer-lasting activities, it is important to choose a more powerful battery, namely 14.4 Wh, 24.1 Wh, 36 Wh or the most powerful 72 Wh. From autumn 2026, these four more powerful batteries will be newly equipped with a power bank function and you can use them to charge a mobile phone, another battery, etc. using a USB-C/USB-C cable. The elastic headband itself with a silicone center and reflector weighs 98g and fits perfectly on your head while running. The modular system of Silva Free lamps allows you to freely combine individual components, spotlights with outputs of 1100, 1500, 2500 and 3400 lumens (including previous spotlights of 900, 1200, 2000 and 3000 lm) and 5 rechargeable variants XS, 24.1 Wh S, 36 Wh M and 72 Wh L. The spotlights are equipped with Silva Intelligent Light technology - lens optics provide uniform light dispersion in the distance and to the sides. More powerful spotlights of 2500 and 3400 lm, thanks to Silva Flow Light technology , allow you to adjust the shape of the light cone by tilting the spotlight.

The light output is regulated by a built-in temperature sensor according to the surface temperature of the reflector. If cooling is not sufficient, e.g. during static activities, indoors or at high temperatures, then the light output will be automatically reduced until an acceptable surface temperature on the reflector body is reached. As soon as the battery capacity drops to 10% of the initial value, the reflector flashes during lighting and goes into reserve mode, which has an output of 80lm and provides approximately 1h of operation. Thanks to the modular system, it is possible to combine individual components with each other, even with previous reflectors and batteries. Free headlamps, including accessories, withstand jets of water from all angles - IPX5 water resistance. Silva received the ISPO Award 2023 for technological innovation for the Free modular system.

* The technical parameters of Silva headlamps are measured according to the ANSI FL1 standard. Battery life is given as the time until the light output drops to 10% of the initial value measured 30 seconds after switching on, it is not the time of complete discharge, after which the headlamp goes into reserve mode. Battery life is affected by the ambient temperature and the type of activity, e.g. when running or cycling, the reflector is better cooled, while sub-zero temperatures, on the contrary, reduce the battery capacity. The reach is given as the distance at which the light intensity drops to 0.25 lux. This is approximately the light intensity created by the full moon in a clear sky.
