The Mountain Equipment Earthrise Hooded women's jacket is a model that protects you from the cold thanks to natural filling and a special chamber construction that prevents the movement of down inside the jacket. This jacket is filled with naturally recycled goose and duck feathers. The Mountain Equipment brand obtains it exclusively from post-consumer clothing and sleeping bags. Feathers are separated from other materials, damaged feathers are removed and washed for disinfection and cleaning.
For further protection against the cold, the jacket has special chambers all over its surface. This arrangement ensures that the charge does not move, which could lead to the formation of local cold zones causing spot cooling. The outer material is pleasant to the touch and has a water-repellent treatment that slows down the soaking of the jacket during rain or snow.
The two-way main zipper of the renowned company YKK® is protected from the inside by a flap that prevents it from venting and prevents the material from cutting when closing. The jacket has a tailored cut that does not restrict movement. Elastic finishing on the cuffs and hood improves its insulating properties even more. Elastic cuffs and the lower edge of the jacket also prevent the model from shifting when walking with a backpack. The jacket has two side pockets and one on the chest that can be closed with a zipper. When packed into one of the pockets, the jacket takes up little space and can be easily packed into a backpack. The compressibility of the insulation used here is 700 cui, so it is highly compressible.
