The Ortovox Haute Route 30 S backpack is a model designed with smaller users in mind. The shortened carrying system ensures a firm fit and thus excellent stabilization of the luggage on the back. The backpack will meet the requirements of every ski alpinist thanks to many carrying options, as well as thanks to the special bag for the ABC avalanche aid.
The back panel as well as the shoulder and hip straps are equipped with a relatively thick layer of foam, which is covered with a soft material on the outside. Thanks to this, the whole fits optimally to the body and does not move even on the steepest slopes. In addition, the weight is perfectly distributed and does not burden the shoulders. The panel in contact with the back is slightly shorter, which makes this backpack a popular choice for all ski mountaineering enthusiasts who have trouble fitting larger models.
The main compartment is accessible through a wide opening panel located on the back and top. This means that access to things is not a problem, even when the skis are attached to the backpack. Inside there is a magazine compartment and a small zippered pocket for small items. Quick access to the ABC avalanche system is ensured by a separate compartment accessible via a zipper in the upper part of the backpack. It fits the most necessary winter equipment, such as an avalanche probe, a snow shovel or a first aid kit. Thanks to it, you will be ready to start a rescue operation in a matter of seconds.
Additional backpack pockets allow you to store smaller items that you want to have quick access to. A zipped pocket at the top is ideal for glasses, while a pocket on the front panel is a handy map storage area. In the lower part there is also a small mesh pocket for attaching the helmet. The Ortovox Haute Route 30 S also allows you to comfortably carry almost any winter equipment. Skis can be fastened on both sides or diagonally, and a special attachment allows comfortable carrying of an ax or trekking poles. Additional straps included in the backpack allow you to carry larger items such as snowboards, snowshoes or cats.
