The ORTOVOX CROSS RIDER 22 backpack is a versatile backpack perfect for freeride, ski mountaineering, but also for day trips or off-piste riding. The backpack is made of extremely lightweight, durable and highly resistant PFC-free 600D polyester fabric with a polyurethane coating for increased water resistance. The material used is also treated with a DWR finish for increased water and wind resistance.
The backpack offers a back system made of lightweight 3D EVA foam , which is very comfortable. One of the main advantages of the Full-Contact-Light back system is that it can evenly distribute the load between the hip strap and slightly padded shoulder straps. A wide hip belt with a practical pocket and a sternum strap (equipped with an emergency whistle) will also help to secure it firmly on the back. Thanks to the sporty and minimalist design, the backpack will literally blend in with you and will not hinder even the most daring lines.
A separate compartment for holding avalanche equipment , such as shovels and probes, is also practical, as is a pocket for a bottle or reservoir, with the option of leading the tube to the right shoulder strap. The front zippered pocket is used to store a map or compass, while the inner pocket with a key loop is used to store small items - documents, cash and valuables. There is also a pocket on the hip belt for a mobile phone, camera or GPS, a helmet net is stored in the front with a practical zipper, and there is also the option of diagonally attaching skis or poles (up to 150 mm wide).
The backpack has been adapted for people with an average back length of 42-50 cm - for a figure of approximately 170 to 195 cm. The length is calculated from the 7th cervical vertebra to the upper part of the pelvis. The backpack is not only adjusted in the length of the back, but also changes in the shape of the shoulder straps and adjustment of the hip belt.
