Set of 2 self-adhesive Gore-tex® patches for repairing GTX and other porous textiles.

Approach:

1) Repair: Thoroughly clean and dry the damaged area before repair, this is important for the final result. Remove the backing paper on the back of the patch. Place the repaired part on a flat, smooth surface if possible. Cover the crack with a patch with an overlap of at least 12 mm on each edge by pressing the patch from the center to the edges. For a better result, repeatedly press your finger over the patch from the center to the edges in different directions. If the patch becomes wrinkled, immediately tear it off and repeat the procedure. You can adjust the size of the patch to the crack, the edges should be rounded. At home, you can increase the strength of the bond by ironing the patch on medium heat for 30 seconds. Apply gentle pressure and a circular motion. Can be used immediately. Until 12 - midnight gains a full strength upgrade. Store unused patches in a closed container.

2) Removing the patch: The easiest way to remove the patch is in the dryer. If drying is prohibited, or if the patch does not come off completely, heat the iron to a medium temperature and iron with moderate pressure for about 30 seconds. Quickly deflect the edge of the patch and remove the patch with a slow but strong pull. After cooling, remove the adhesive residues with a suitable preparation (cleaning alcohol on a cloth if not prohibited by the manufacturer). Reheating in the dryer will also help.
