From the very beginning, the basic concept of the ON brand was the idea of a soft tread on the clouds that make up the sole of the shoe and a firm rebound. In 2010, together with David Allemann, they founded the exclusively Swiss company ON.

They were united not only by their love of running, but also by the vision of a revolutionary product - new running shoes. Top athlete Olivier Bernhard, his friend David Alleman and Caspar Coppetti got together and began to realize their dream. The new running shoe appealed to top runners, who enthusiastically started using it.
After Olivier Bernhard finished his professional sports career (three-time world champion in duathlon, multiple winner in the Ironman race) he started working on the development of the perfect running shoe. Caspar Coppetti, a Swiss engineer from the same foundation, crossed his path and their joint efforts resulted in the production of the first prototypes of ON cloud shoes.
After the presentation of cloud shoes at ISPO in February 2010, they saw their first big success. They received the Brandnew Award - one of the most important awards for innovation in the sports industry. The enthusiasm of the test runners was huge - the runners talked about running on clouds. In July, ON shoes could already be bought in specialized running stores. ON is growing rapidly and currently ON shoes are available for purchase in more than 3,000 specialty stores worldwide.
