Most ultra shoes have one problem: They can be quite comfortable and well-cushioned, but they're often too heavy, not precise enough, and a bit tedious when it comes to running. To hit the stage, you need a shoe that offers it all. To this end, this new Ultra 100 was developed together with the best ultra runners in the DYNAFIT athletics team. The result: A shoe that perfectly bridges the gap between comfort, traction and excellent energy return to get you to the finish line with a personal best.
Despite its maximum volume and high stack height of over 30mm, it's an impressive stick with excellent grip and precision from the first step to the last. Drop 6 mm talks about the preferences of determined ultra runners. For the sole, the developers used the Vibram® Megagrip compound, which sets the standard in competitive sports for the highest performance. The new Vibram traction eyes are used for the first time in the Ultra 100 model . This innovative lug concept with 4 mm deep lugs guarantees better traction and perfect grip, so runners can move safely and precisely on any surface.
The midsole has comfortable cushioning for a flexible feel, yet remains responsive and lightweight. The new material weighs 20% less than a traditional EVA midsole , but at the same time has an energy return of more than 10%. Together with the Heel Preloader, the anatomically correct heel construction ensures a secure hold and enables superior control and stability. At the same time, the tension on the Achilles tendon is reduced.
In addition, the rocker shape of the sole lends a dynamic , smooth transition that promises fluidity of running until the last step on heavy legs. The Ultra 100 comes with traditional lacing that can be perfectly adapted to your personal needs. The seamless construction of the tongue prevents pressure points and you can safely hide the laces in the stretch lace cover.
